An internal software application First Point Cleaners uses to manage its own Google Business Profile listings.
First Point Cleaners GBPis an internal software application built and operated by First Point Cleaners, a residential and commercial cleaning company serving Windsor, Winnipeg, Guelph, and the surrounding areas. This application connects to First Point Cleaners' own Google Business Profile account and automates the day-to-day management of our three business listings.
What this application does
First Point Cleaners GBP connects to First Point Cleaners' own Google Business Profile account through Google's Business Profile API, and is used only to manage our own listings. It is not a product offered to other businesses, and it does not access any Google account other than the one First Point Cleaners uses to manage its listings. Specifically, it:
- Publishes business updates (Google "Posts") to our Windsor, Winnipeg, and Guelph listings
- Reads new customer reviews on our listings and publishes our replies to them
- Keeps our business information (description, services, hours) current
- Manages photos shown on our listings
Why we built it
Keeping three separate Google Business Profile listings accurate and active by hand is time-consuming for a small business. This tool lets us respond to customer reviews quickly, keep our listings current, and post regular updates without someone manually logging in to each of the three locations every day.
Data and privacy
This tool only accesses data belonging to First Point Cleaners' own Google Business Profile listings. It does not access, request, or store data from any other Google account or business. Full details on what data is accessed and how it is used are in our Privacy Policy.
